Using industry resources such as Edited, WGSN, Fashion Snoops, and IBISWorld, we extensively researched the outdoor retail industry in France, Germany, and the UK and top competitors like Fjallraven, Icebreaker, and Jack Wolfskin. I played a significant role in the project, doing 95% of the work, including creating patterns in Adobe Photoshop and using Adobe Illustrator to add colors and patterns to the flats for the proposed collection. We also developed a marketing plan, created a lookbook, designed in-store displays, and crafted a floor plan layout. Additionally, we identified gaps in the company's current practices, including textiles, dying, packaging, and product tags. We presented two opportunity slides to the panel of professors and United By Blue's CEO to stay on brand with being environmentally friendly and promoting clean oceans. The presentation was made on Google Slides and included a detailed overview of our research and findings and our proposed collection and marketing strategies. Our goal was to help United By Blue successfully enter the European market while staying true to its brand values of sustainability and environmental responsibility.
